RUSSELS (Reuters): According to a NATO official on Wednesday, NATO partners are debating sending North Korean troops to Russia.
Spokesman Farah Dakhlallah stated, “Allies have confirmed proof of a DPRK force deployment to Russia,” although she did not name which allies.
“The Alliance is actively consulting on this issue, and the North Atlantic Council will shortly get a briefing from (South Korea) and continue to debate this issue.”
Earlier on Wednesday, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that although there is proof that North Korean forces are in Russia, it is unclear what their purpose is.
